EXODUS 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
People sometimes lose their perspectives and prioritize other things over God, including their family, success, pleasure, and prosperity.
However, a smart individual will always prioritize God.
PROVERBS 3:6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Why should God take priority in your life?
Firstly, because God is deserving. He deserves to come in first. God is flawless.
Never forget that God is wiser and more capable than you are.
Second, it activates God's sowing and reaping principle in your life. God promises to reward those who honor Him (1 Samuel 2:30). You will prosper when you prioritize God.
DEUTERONOMY 28:2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God.
Therefore, it is in your best interest to prioritize God in all that you do.
Here are some suggestions for you to think about.
Don't make a decision until you have sought God's will.
Never consult anyone else before consulting God for advice.
Before you tell anyone else about a need, express it to God.
Allow God to be the first person you thank when something positive occurs in your life.
Give thanks to God for the food before you eat. You are not required to pray aloud or even for every missionary. Just give thanks to your Source before you eat.
Talk to God first when you wake up before you talk to anyone else. That doesn't mean you have to pray nonstop for a long time. Even if it's just a simple "Good morning, Lord!" remember to always put God first.
Visit the Bible and read some of God's good news each day before you listen to the news from the outside world.
MATTHEW 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
SAY THIS: God must come first in my life.
