ACTS 2:28 Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance.
God can talk to us in any form He chooses, although it is extremely uncommon for Him to use a voice that we can hear. However, God constantly communicates.
God may occasionally speak to us through specific words. However, it typically happens considerably more quickly than that and as a full thought, not just a word at a time.
God resides within every follower of Jesus Christ. You share a spiritual bond with Jesus as a follower.
1 CORINTHIANS 6:17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.
Therefore, it will frequently feel as though you are having an inner debate with yourself when you are speaking with God.
As a result, because God is a part of you, talking to God can occasionally feel like talking to yourself.
God sometimes speaks to us through other people. Not just in you, but also in other believers, is God. Or it might have already been documented, whether it was in written, verbal, or visual form.
It is common for God to speak to someone through another individual without that person even being aware that they have been a part of a communication from God.
Of course, none of your thoughts originate with God. Some ideas come from the hell hole. Your flesh is merely attempting to control you in some thinking. Some of your thoughts are notions that you have adopted from other people.
You must therefore learn to distinguish between thoughts that come from God and those that do not.
We can establish whether a thought is from God by using two criteria. The first is familiarity with the Bible, which is God's written Word.
God doesn't alter.
Truth must be unchanging. Therefore, when God speaks, those ideas will agree with what He has already said in His written Word. They never go against what the Bible says.
It will be simpler for us to "know God's voice" and recognize when a thought is coming from God the more connected we are with the Bible—not only the letter of it, but also the spirit of it.
Since God gave his inspiration for every verse of the Bible, it can all be taken as true. The fact that God intended for it to be recorded even if it is history or a genealogy does not imply that it is a direct word from God. In this sense, each verse represents a mind of God and conveys a message. This does not imply that everything in the Bible is true, as it does contain some human lies (Job 42:7).
The inner witness is the second criterion. On another day, we shall talk more about the inner witness.
It's sometimes said that God speaks to us through the natural world. It is true in the sense that God's creation conveys a message about His immense strength, knowledge, and brilliance. God is evidently a genius when we consider all that He has produced.
God wants you and Him to talk to each other. He should be your first port of call for anything. Ask Him whatever you wish to know. (You won't always receive a prompt response. However, God doesn't mind if you're curious. God will deliver the solution to you when you are prepared and able to comprehend it.)
You can "talk" to God by speaking aloud, by having an internal dialogue, or simply by thinking. In either case, God will hear you. And He'll answer. Again, a prompt answer is not always guaranteed. However, if you remain vigilant, you will notice when God acts and you will know He did.
You will comprehend and appreciate this more as you develop your relationship with God. Never forget that communication is the lifeblood of all relationships.
1 CORINTHIANS 1:9 God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
SAY THIS: I'm grateful to God for speaking to me. Please teach me to understand what you are saying and to pay attention to your communication.
