ROMANS 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
God has shown you that He loves you. So, don't ask it.
What demonstrates God's love for you as being greater than your own? In order to save you from the penalty for your sin that you deserved, he died in your place.
Of course, the devil works nonstop to make you question God's love for you. Because of this, you must rely on what the Bible says rather than what your emotions or environment may suggest.
It's possible that you believe you despise or don't love yourself. You still love yourself in the sense that you want the best for yourself, even if you don't think too highly of what you've done.
God feels the same way; He wants the best for you much more than you do. Additionally, He showed at Calvary that He would put your needs ahead of His own.
1 JOHN 4:16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
God loves you for at least two distinct motives. First, love is in His essence. According to the Bible, God is love. The term that best sums up God's character is love.
Second, you were made by Him. God cherishes you in the same way as parents on earth cherish their children. Even though a person may not seem particularly exceptional to others, their mother and father will always view them favorably.
God sees you not just as you are now, but as you can and will become. God believes in you and in His capacity to create you special.
SAY THIS: I've decided to take the Bible at its word that God loves me.
