Are Sinners Heard By God?

Published: January 20, 2024 Β· Reviewed: April 21, 2024

JOHN 9:31 Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.

This asserts that God does not hear the sins of the wicked, yet the word "hear" does not always refer to only sensing sound. It might also mean taking action after hearing something.

Certainly, God hears every prayer that people make. Jesus claimed to be aware of every hair on our heads.

According to experts, we shed a lot of hair each day, therefore the total is constantly fluctuating. God must hear what we say for whoever we are if He makes the effort to know this.

When sinners call on God, He must hear them in order to be able to rescue them.

It looks like God is delightful when people call on Him, for whoever he is sinner or saint. At least they are acknowledging God, turning to Him, and understanding that they need help from Him.

Genuine prayer is always based on the Word that God has already given us. God will always respond to our prayers when we approach Him in faith and base on His Word.

1 JOHN 5:15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

We cannot expect God to respond to our requests if they are against His will. That does not imply, however, that God does not hear everyone's prayers. How would God know which prayers were in accordance with His will if He did not listen to each one?

You may think that individuals who do not pray in accordance with God's Word are "ignored" by God. But God actually doesn't ignore any anyone. He is constantly eager and willing to assist anyone. However, He only responds to prayer that is in accordance with His Word.

It is benefical for us not to be concerned that God won't respond to any request, as per the Bible, it is God's will to give everyone in the world everything good.

Another thing we should keep in mind is that Jesus Christ is our justice, which is a part of the good news for everyone who has accepted Him (or right standing with God). God therefore regards those of us who have trusted in Christ as His children rather than as sinners.

SAY THIS: Everyone who prays to God is heard.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your Word that assures us You hear our prayers. We acknowledge our need for You, knowing that You delight in our turning to You. Help us to align our prayers with Your will, as we trust in Your promise to respond. We thank You for the gift of Jesus Christ, our righteousness, and for considering us Your children. We are confident that You hear us, sinners and saints alike, and we are grateful for Your unfailing love and mercy. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
