Partnership With God

Published: January 21, 2024 Β· Reviewed: April 23, 2024

1 CORINTHIANS 1:9 God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

You should pause and consider this. God desires to have partnership with you.

We are not discussing about a subordinate here, not only a head of state. Not just a billionaire, either.

God!

Consider God, the creator of the universe, with all of His wisdom, His wealth, and His power. Consider all of His choices.

Why would God want you around?

Frankly speaking, I have no idea. All I can tell is that the Bible says that He does.

What a chance, though! What a blessing! To fellowship with GOD!

What is meant by fellowship? The Greek term "koinonia" (koy-nohn-ee'-ah) is found in 1 Corinthians 1:9. Some definitions are fellowship, association, communion, participation, closeness, partnership, and a shared interest.

God wants to have that relationship with you, Koinonia.

The passage that follows uses the same word. Take note of how the Living Bible renders it.

2 CORINTHIANS 13:14 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.

SAY THIS: I'll answer God's call and partnership with Him.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, We are in awe of Your desire for fellowship with us. The creator of the universe, seek a relationship with us. We are humbled and grateful for this blessing. Help us to answer Your call, to enter into partnership with You, to experience the grace of Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit. May we strive for koinonia, a deep, shared interest and closeness with You. We ask this in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen.
