MATTHEW 6:26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
Have you ever witnessed birds eating while it was snowing? They have to put some effort into it. They don't just stand about and wait for someone to feed them.
Does God provide them food? Specifically or generally?
Jesus made it very clear that God is the one who gives the birds their food. This suggests that God provides for all living things.
Birds must have trust that food is somewhere, otherwise they wouldn't keep looking. They don't wait for additional food to appear where they found it yesterday by sitting in the same place today. They continue searching, clearly believing that food is someplace to be found.
Yes, we can learn a lot from the birds. They gather what God gives them every day. So ought to we.
I'm not sure if the birds give thanks to God or not. But we must express gratitude. And we ought to acknowledge that God is the source of all the blessings we experience in life.
So, work while being calm. (And if you are unable to perform your regular employment, don't worry; God still cares about you and will find a way to support you.)
And if you have a need, keep looking for the solution while retaining your attention on God since you are certain that He will always meet your needs.
SAY THIS: I know God will take care of me since He takes care of the birds.
