MATTHEW 4:10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
The devil yearns for submission. He wants us to believe that he is powerful and has the power to ruin our lives.
We shouldn't let our adversary intimidate us. Fear is a confirmation of his ability.
God has often reassured us in His Word, again and again, not to be afraid.
The primary word for worship in the New Testament is submission, or an attitude of submitting born of intense reverence.
So being manipulated by fear is submitting to the devil out of admiration for his power and capability, and it is worship.
We should not act like it!
SAY THIS: Because God loves for me and has rescued me from the kingdom of darkness, overv which He has provided me with authority via the Name of Jesus, I will not be afraid.
