What you believe is your faith. (In the Bible, the verb "believe" and the noun "faith" are the same word.)
Faith (a belief) is always a choice that is supported by some facts, consequent in a certain behavior.
An act of choosing to trust what God declares to be true is faith in God. It implies receiving God's Word as persuasive proof.
Every human acts on a set of beliefs.
We are continually provided with information that we must assess and judge as we travel through life. Every time we decide that the evidence is adequate for us to accept it as true, that belief is incorporated to our system of beliefs.
We hold the same belief until and unless fresh information is supplied that leads us to choose a different course of action.
Then, as we go about our daily lives, we always act (sometimes unconsciously) in accordance with our beliefs.
A compelling argument for changing your beliefs is the Bible. It's a communication from the Creator, God, who is aware of how everything functions.
New information from the Bible may deviate from some of our preconceived notions. However, we are aware that God is truthful and that everything He says will occur.
MARK 11:22-24 11 And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away. 22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. 23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. 24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
Have God's faith, as it says in Mark 11:22. Jesus was demonstrating for us how to apply our faith in the same manner as God.
God's faith always speaks the desired outcome and never lets anything contradict it. (Mark 11:23)
God is teaching us how things operate in His creation since we are His children and were created in His image and likeness. Once God says something, He never pulls back it.
In Mark 11:23, the word "doubt" does not imply "have inquiries." It denotes a choice or judgment that is entirely different. Therefore, it would require that you accept some new information as being adequate to change your previous judgment and profession of faith.
A never-ending cycle exists between receiving new information and determining whether it is enough to alter our beliefs.
The opponent of Bible hope is fear. Both require creativity, the ability to envision things clearly in our minds before or after they happen.
Expecting wonderful things to happen is a result of faith in God. Fear is the result of believing awful things will happen. Hope and fear are both supported by, built upon, and underlying by faith.
Speaking in accordance with God's Word is the main manifestation of trust toward God. Then, no matter how we feel, what situation is, and how long it takes, we continue to stand in that place of faith.
SAY THIS: The belief in God is demonstrated through obedience to and acceptance of God's Word as truth.
