The Way God Blesses Us

Published: February 12, 2024 Β· Reviewed: March 31, 2024

If something is detrimental for us, does God still bless us by giving it to us anyway?

Does God always grant us what we want, regardless of whether it's the best course of action for us or not?

Does God bless us when we engage in self-destructive behavior and get away with it?

Does God bless us when we treat others badly and get away with it?

Does God bless us by bestowing upon us more obligations, wealth, or reputation than we are able to deal with?

Does God bless us by protecting us from the effects of our actions?

Does God benefit us by preventing us from experiencing suffering or difficult circumstances?

God would not be a good father if He blessed us in any of those ways.

God blesses us by transforming us into the people we ought to be.

As a result, we fall under God's purview and are able to experience relationship with Him, which is the greatest blessing.

GENESIS 12:2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:

SAY THIS: We are grateful for the Lord's blessing.

Prayer

"Dear Heavenly Father, We acknowledge Your wisdom and love in our lives. We understand that Your blessings are not always what we desire, but what we need. You do not bless us with harm, but with transformation. You do not shield us from consequences, but guide us through them. You do not bestow upon us more than we can bear, but equip us to handle our burdens. We are grateful for Your blessings, even when they come in the form of trials. Help us to become the people we ought to be, under Your guidance and love. In Jesus' name, Amen."
