Need a positive ask

Published: February 24, 2024 Β· Reviewed: May 6, 2024

MATTHEW 7:7-8 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

Ask for assistance and pose inquiries. Pride may keep us from asking some questions.

Many people in marriage are dissatisfied. However, they fail to express their desires to their partner in a clear manner. Please make sure to request your wishes in a kind and compassionate manner.

Make your demands clear. Nobody is able to read your mind. God tells us to ask Him for whatever we need or want even though He is aware of our thoughts.

PHILIPPIANS 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

Many people struggle through life feeling let down by what God hasn't given them. One explanation could be that God is waiting for them to have enough faith to ask His assistance.

Not that we should behave like beggars. However, don't be afraid to assert your needs or desires.

We may hesitate to ask because we believe we don't merit favors. Probably accurate However, Jesus gave His life so that we would receive what He deserved. Jesus took our just punishment so that we could have better.

MATTHEW 21:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

JOHN 16:24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.

JAMES 4:2 Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.

Jesus advised asking. It is actually a demand. Ask!

SAY THIS: I will make the ask and follow God's Word.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, We come before You, acknowledging Your wisdom and love. We thank You for the promise in Matthew 7:7-8, that when we ask, we shall receive; when we seek, we shall find; when we knock, doors shall open. Help us to express our desires clearly and kindly, not just to others, but to You. Remind us that You are waiting for us to ask, to seek, to knock. Despite our unworthiness, we remember that Jesus gave His life for us. Strengthen our faith to ask in His name, that our joy may be full. In Jesus' name, Amen.
