MATTHEW 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
The majority of people believe in force: firearms and armies.
Most people have a "financial power" belief in money.
Many individuals think that if we just educate enough people, we can change the world.
The ability of love to change things seems to be a rare belief. Turning the other cheek doesn't seem to be something everyone believes would be beneficial.
Jesus didn't instruct us to "turn the other cheek" as we might suffer more attack. Jesus thinks that love has a lot of power. Jesus has the view that good may conquer over evil.
ROMANS 12:20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.
God continues to trust in the effectiveness of love. He holds that people will eventually come to their senses and respond to love if you love them enough, and long enough.
JOHN 13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
According to Jesus, love would identify His followers.
SAY THIS: Lord, grant me the ability to believe in love and action in love.
