How Far Away From Earth Are the Heavens?

Published: March 7, 2024 · Reviewed: June 11, 2024

PSALM 103:11 For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.

It would change your life if you realized how much God loves you.

You would not be subject to anxiety or fear any longer.

For those who are bathed in the love of the Almighty God, fear has no power over them.

This section of Psalm 103 makes an effort to describe the width or depth of God's love.

It is not merely described as being as large as the tallest mountain.

No, there is much more.

As high as the sky is above the earth.

When you consider how enormous God's love is for YOU, that is the image He wants you to have in your mind.

However, you may wonder, "why is my life going so badly if God really loves me so much?".

That is a fair query, but it is different from the query of whether God loves you.

The short answer is that God has provided for us, but the majority of us do not take advantage of the support He provides.

In other words, whether because of ignorance or some other reason, we are not operating in accordance with God's advice.

You cannot anticipate a successful outcome if a tried-and-true recipe is not followed.

God wants to include us in His community and His method of doing things, not to judge us for our shortcomings.

This will occur in our lives through the power of His Word.

SAY THIS:

The love of God is greater than what I can perceive or comprehend.

He gave me the Bible out of His love for me, so that I could know the truth and experience freedom.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge Your boundless love, as vast as the heavens above the earth. We are grateful for Your mercy and grace. Help us to fully comprehend Your love, to cast away our anxieties and fears. Guide us to live according to Your Word, to embrace the support You provide. Forgive us when we falter, and lead us back to Your path. May we always remember that Your love is greater than we can perceive. Thank You for the gift of Your Word, a testament of Your love. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
