JAMES 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
Everything positive in your life is a result of God. He made it out of His love for you.
Do you appreciate eating quality food? Who created that dish? Who made the arrangements so you might have it and take pleasure in it?
Are you a fan of natural beauty, like mountains, sunsets, flowers, butterflies, and wild animals? They were all made by God for your enjoyment.
Do you appreciate the love of a mother? God gave moms the ability to love their children when He created them.
Do you appreciate your spouse's love? God gave them the ability to love you when He created them.
I could continue.
When you give this some thought, you see that God genuinely cares for you and provides for you via other people. The love you receive from others comes from Him because He implanted the quality of love inside them.
God is responsible for all the good things in life. He either created the raw materials and the capacity for humans to build all we love.
I hope these things cause you to reflect about two things: I want to be more like this sort of God, and I need to express gratitude to Him more often than I do.
