The Word of God Will Set You Free

Published: March 25, 2024 · Reviewed: May 6, 2024

John 8:31-32 31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; 32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Due to the restrictions they believe they must go by, many people are terrified that God's Word will enslave them. But Jesus claimed that you would be set free by God's Word.

Abide refers to living, continuing, or remaining somewhere.

You will be able to discern the truth if you continue to spend time in Jesus' Word.

Knowing the truth will enable you to take action, and acting on the truth will set you free.

Even when they do occasionally occur, we cannot expect immediate effects. However, freedom is assured if you adhere to God's Word. Jesus gave His promise!

You have not practiced God's Word in that area long enough if you are not experiencing freedom in that area. Feed it in by speaking, singing, reading, writing, dreaming, and other means!

God's Word contains the knowledge that, when applied, will set you free!

SAY THIS: I'll keep focusing on God's Word, and it'll set me free.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, We thank You for Your Word, the truth that sets us free. Help us to abide in it, to live and breathe it, to speak, sing, read, write, and dream it. Even when we don't see immediate effects, remind us of Your promise, that freedom is assured if we adhere to Your Word. Strengthen us to continue in Your Word, to discern the truth, and to act upon it. We declare that as we focus on Your Word, we will experience the freedom You promised. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
