God Isn't Your Issue

JAMES 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

We all deal with a variety of issues in life, but these issues are not caused by God.

God is the solution, not the issue.

Natural disasters may be referred to in insurance contracts as "acts of God," however this is incorrect.

They are devil, the god of this world, and not the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

2 CORINTHIANS 4:4 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:

Jesus drew a definite line between the work of God and the work of the criminal.

JOHN 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

It is not uncommon for people to ask "God, why did you do this to me?" when awful things occur.

This implies that everything that occurs is the result of God.

The Bible, however, conveys a different message.

1 JOHN 5:19 And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.

The wickedness in the world is the work of the devil.

And humans have let the devil carry out his nefarious deeds.

In the end, this means that people are to blame.

God is not to blame.

He gave us the power to put an end to evil, but we haven't used it as often as we should have.

God granted humans sovereignty over the planet.

GENESIS 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Through His Name, Jesus restored dominion to us when He saved humanity.

Because Jesus gave us His authority, we are accountable for what we permit to take place on this planet.

LUKE 10:19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

MATTHEW 18:18 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Anything that takes, kills, or destroys comes from our enemy, not God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, so it must be opposed.

According to Acts 10:38, Jesus Christ perfectly embodied God and went about doing good and curing others rather than doing them harm.

Jesus gave rather than took.

He remains the same even today.

SAY THIS: It's not God's fault that I have issues.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that every good and perfect gift comes from You. We understand that You are not the source of our problems, but our solution. We rebuke the enemy who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy. We claim the authority given to us by Jesus to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. We bind the works of the enemy on earth as it is in heaven. We declare that it's not Your fault that we have issues. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
