Learn to relax

MARK 6:31 And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while: for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat.

It might be challenging to find balance. Success typically demands hard effort, focus, and a significant time investment.

But sometimes a vacation is just what you need!

It's not always necessary to travel, but it is always necessary to take a vacation from your regular schedule.

Along with getting enough physical rest, you also need time to reflect and hear what God is saying to you. You won't ever perform at your peak level if you don't "recharge your batteries."

We desire to live fulfilling lives and to grow in our relationship with the Lord, but we cannot replace God. We are limited in our abilities. We are not God.

Burnout is not a favorable witness for the Lord because it paints Him as a strict taskmaster.

People need to rest. We need to lead a balanced life that includes rest and downtime if we want to live long and be healthy and productive.

Consider the big picture at all times. That includes all of time.

SAY THIS: Lord, guide me as I seek to find harmony in my life.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, We thank You for the wisdom in Your Word. We acknowledge our human limitations and our need for rest. Guide us, Lord, as we strive to find balance in our lives. Help us to prioritize time for reflection and to hear Your voice amidst our busy schedules. May we not fall into burnout, but rather, portray You as a loving Father who desires rest and rejuvenation for His children. Teach us to consider the big picture, and to trust in Your perfect timing. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
