Heaven Is Not All Of God's Plan

Published: April 5, 2024 · Reviewed: June 8, 2024

ROMANS 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

God is not simply interested in seeing people enter Heaven.

God is transforming us into more like Jesus.

Actually, God has predetermined that when we grow up, we shall resemble Jesus.

EPHESIANS 4:15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

God is parenting us as a family, bringing us up to be like Jesus Christ.

Too many people believe that all it takes to be "saved" or "born again" is for them to go on living their lives without any attention to God as they wait to pass away and enter Heaven.

No! Every moment of your life is something that God wants to be a part of.

Going to Heaven is only one aspect of the Gospel. It includes the honor of daily conversing with and travelling with our Creator.

God want to instruct and develop you in a variety of areas.

God is your Father, and as such, He will not neglect His duty to grow you, educate you, and care for your needs.

SAY THIS: A large family is part of God's big design. Being a member of His family is an honor for me.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your divine plan, predestining us to be conformed to the image of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Help us to grow in truth and love, maturing in all aspects into Christ. May we not neglect Your presence in our lives, but embrace the honor of daily communion with You. Guide us, Father, in our growth and development, and meet our needs as only You can. We rejoice in being part of Your large family, recognizing it as a great honor. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
