Work For God

LUKE 19:15 And it came to pass, that when he was returned, having received the kingdom, then he commanded these servants to be called unto him, to whom he had given the money, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading.

Your job should have a greater purpose than just taking care of your basic requirements.

God can use your work as an approach of blessing people in many different ways. Your influence, your contacts, and your incomes and bonus should all be well used in order to benefit others and draw them closer to God.

Many people won't hear a pastor or TV preacher, but they will listen to someone they are familiar with and often interact with.

It is possible to walk with God and follow Him not being a pastor or priest.

Take Abraham, David, Moses, and Daniel as examples, none of them were priests or preachers.

Instead, they were all employed in what we would consider secular vocations like government or agriculture. However, they are among the most well-known and respected of Bible characters.

We should also bear in mind that Jesus of Nazareth spent the most of His time on earth working as a carpenter and running a business rather than preaching.

COLOSSIANS 3:23 And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;

Both at a church meeting and in the workplace, God may move powerfully and bless people wherever they are.

Your "world" is the place where you live and work. Wherever you are, God wants you to be a witness.

Be a living example of God's goodness, blessings, and love.

You don't have to impose your views on others; instead, let your coworkers, associates, clients, and suppliers see how God has blessed you.

As you get the chance, let them know that this blessing in your life is a result of God's goodness and grace, which are also available to them.

SAY THIS: I will flourish in the place where I am planted and dedicate all that God has given me to His glory and the strength of His kingdom.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, We thank You for the work You have given us. Help us to use our influence, contacts, and income to bless others and draw them closer to You. May we be living examples of Your goodness, blessings, and love in our workplaces. Let our lives reflect Your grace and mercy, and may we dedicate all that we have to Your glory and the strength of Your kingdom. In all we do, may we do it heartily, as unto You, Lord, and not unto men. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
