ROMANS 8:32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

Most individuals consider prayer as an effort to persuade God to intervene. They believe that in order to obtain something from God, they must pledge to do something or twist His arm.

A different picture is presented in the New Testament. God is not only willing to give, but has also given! He is not hiding anything on us!

He gave us all we could possibly need when He gave us Jesus.

" Then Why," you may wonder, "do I not get what I need"?

My friend, there is a huge difference between giving and receiving something.

Without realizing it, you may be eligible for an inheritance or other windfall. You can even be aware of it, but if the right steps are not taken, you won't be able to own and enjoy it.

So is it with the things of God. The correct process must be followed. How to receive is explained in the instructions. But the guidelines are simple and easy to understand. They can be found throughout the New Testament.

1 TIMOTHY 6:17 Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;

God provides us all things to enjoy richly!

Never evaluate God's kindness based on what you have or have not received. Get the directions from the Bible, and accept all that God has given you.

SAY THIS: In Christ, God freely gave me everything. I must now learn to accept all God's blessings.

Prayer

"Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you for your boundless love and generosity. You spared not your own Son, but delivered Him up for us all. Help us to understand and follow the instructions in Your Word, so we may receive all the blessings You have freely given us. Teach us not to trust in uncertain riches, but in You, the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy. May we never doubt Your kindness, but instead learn to accept all Your blessings in Christ. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
