They Mocked Jesus

Published: May 4, 2024 · Reviewed: June 4, 2024

MATTHEW 9:24 He said unto them, Give place: for the maid is not dead, but sleepeth. And they laughed him to scorn.

Do people consider you insane because you follow Jesus? Do they believe you to be too radical to take the Scriptures literally?

However, please don't feel alone. Jesus experienced the same kinds of issues.

As we can see from Matthew 9:24, Jesus was occasionally made fun of. They mocked Him rather than just laughing at Him. They meant it really.

It still is the case nowadays. Sometimes people may assume we're insane if we trust what Jesus told.

They might make fun of us. They might even make fun of us for accepting God's Word.

Nothing is new Th. Yet why Whhen should you allow it to impact you?

The issue is actually at its core. The people are in the gloom.

They are unaware of the true situation. They are unaware that existence also has a spiritual aspect.

They don't realize how significant and authoritative our words are. They don't realize that everything is possible for someone who has belief in God.

And people tend to doubt things they do not fully know.

Since people are in gloom now, but will one day see the light, we must walk in love and be gentle with them.

We can be the medium by which God's light begins to shine into their lives and bring comprehension if we continue to move in the light ourselves.

SAY THIS:

Regardless of what others may think, I decide to accept the Bible. I am a follower, not a skeptics.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, we come before You, acknowledging the scorn we may face for following Your Word. Yet, we stand firm in our faith, knowing that Jesus too was mocked for His teachings. Grant us the strength to remain steadfast, and the wisdom to understand that those who mock us are in spiritual darkness. Help us to be vessels of Your light, bringing understanding and love to those who doubt. We choose to believe in Your Word, regardless of the world's opinion. We are followers, not skeptics. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
