ROMANS 3:24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
Being righteous means having a favorable standing with God. It does not imply "ideal" human beings. God declares that you are virtuous, so you are.
You might be curious about Romans 3:10, which claims that nobody is virtuous. Yes, it does, but it does so by citing a verse from the Old Bible to show that both Jews and Gentiles were sinners in the eyes of God and in need of redemption. Verse 22 and verse 24 quickly follow, stating that we can now be made virtuous through belief in the Lord.
2 CORINTHIANS 5:19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
TITUS 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
Being righteous is a blessing from God, it is not something you can acquire. God merely declares that because of your belief in the Lord, you are innocent in His eyes.
ROMANS 3:22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
ROMANS 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
GALATIANS 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
Receiving God's gift—Jesus Christ—is the only means to be in good standing with Him.
1 CORINTHIANS 1:30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
ROMANS 5:17 For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)
SAY THIS:
Nobody can get God's blessing based on their good actions. It can only be accepted as a present.
