REVELATION 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
Most people feel that this scripture is addressing unbelievers. Not really. Jesus was speaking to churchgoers who were already present.
How sad!
Speaking to His own people, the Lord, who is the Head of the church, is doing this. "We will enjoy times of friendship if you will open up to Me."
God wants to be in your company. He desires your time with Him. But He never pushes. He always invites.
1 CORINTHIANS 1:9 God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
You are called by God. You have to decide whether to respond.
Whom else would you like to know more than God?
You get to know somebody by taking time with them. You start to understand their preferences and thought processes. You learn to know the Lord when you take time with Him in His Word and in prayer.
The only way to develop a relationship with someone is to spend time with them.
SAY THIS: Lord, I welcome You into my home
