2 CORINTHIANS 8:9 For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.
Many Christians believe that poverty is God's will. Scripture truely paints a very different picture.
Financial prosperity is regarded in the Bible as a blessing from God, despite the fact that there are a lot of cautions about the affection for money and its abuse.
PSALM 35:27 Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the Lord be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.
God will prosper you without your having to persuade him. He has already made the appropriate arrangements, so no arm-twisting will be required. Prosperity is already yours because of the substitutionary death of Jesus Christ.
I nearly hear the opposing voice: "Where is it if I have wealth? Why do I have so many invoices and debts?"
Actually, the response is rather straightforward. We didn't know where it was, as the devil robbed it away from us.
You can take it back by faith, but to keep your faith steadfast and powerful, you must feed it on the Word.
To receive God's gift and prevent the devil from robbing it, maturity is necessary. This guarantees that immature believers won't have more money than they can manage end up destroying their lives.
SAY THIS: Jesus became poverty so that I can become rich. In Christ Jesus, I am wealthy.
