EPHESIANS 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
It is a blessing to be rescued and in good standing with God. Although we don't earn it, it is nonetheless freely given to us.
ROMANS 11:6 And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then it is no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.
What Jesus did for us means more than anything we have accomplished. He served as our Alternative, taking the punishment we owed in order for us to be given what He deserved as a present.
ROMANS 4:5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.
People from all over the world make an effort to please God by engaging in ceremonies, sacrifices, and acts of devotion. However, the Bible makes it clear that we cannot earn God's favor through our own behaviors; we must instead accept it as a gift.
ROMANS 3:20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
Since no person can uphold the rule through their own efforts, it is not possible to be in compliance with God's will by doing so. The Scripture says that we all have sinned.
ROMANS 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
God's grading system is not linear. All people have erred and fallen short. Thus, we all require a Redeemer.
ROMANS 10:9-10 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Salvation is therefore a free offering. Anyone may obtain it. The Lord Jesus Christ is the individual in whom it is contained. No matter who you are or what you have done, when you accept Jesus, you are immediately saved (also known as delivered) and placed in absolute righteousness before God, just as if you had never erred. Amazing gift!
SAY THIS: I am saved by the amazing grace of God.
