Short Of Knowledge

Published: June 9, 2024 · Reviewed: June 22, 2024

HOSEA 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

People often doubt why so many Christians struggle through life rather than succeeding. The Bible claims that ignorance is the root cause.

True learning inspires faith. We have belief in something when we truly understand it. Finally, we shall put that knowledge to use.

God's people are damaged by disasters, not because He doesn't love us or can't interfere to save us. The truth is just unknown to us. If we truly knew the truth, we would behave accordingly.

JOHN 8:31-32 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; 32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Our manual is the written Word of God. Everything will go our way if we take action on it.

God gives us the freedom to choose. We will receive blessings if we make the proper decisions.

SAY THIS: God has given me the wisdom in the Bible so that I can understand the truth, follow it, and be blessed.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, we pray for wisdom and understanding. We acknowledge our lack of knowledge has led us astray. Guide us to Your truth, as revealed in Your Holy Word. Help us to not just hear, but understand and act upon Your teachings. May we be true disciples, living in the freedom of Your truth. Grant us the courage to make the right decisions, that we may receive Your blessings. We thank You for the wisdom You've given us through the Bible. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
