2 THESSALONIANS 3:16 Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all.
The Bible makes numerous references to God as the God of peace. However, as users of English, we don't fully understand.
The Bible's New Testament was written in Greek, while the Old Testament was penned in Hebrew. Bibles in English are all translated.
The Greek term for peace is eirene (i-ray'-nay), which is the same pronunciation as the Hebrew word for peace, shalom (shaw-lome').
If you do a lot of research on both the Hebrew and the Greek languages, you will discover that the words translated as peace have a richer meaning than simply the lack of conflict.
The main idea is that everything is present and complete. Peace comes when nothing is lacking. There is no worry because everything is fine.
The phrase "God of peace" or the "peace of God" is intended to convey this concept. Along with the traditional English definition of conflict-free, it also contains health and prosperity.
ROMANS 15:33 Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen.
SAY THIS: The God of health, wholeness, and prosperity is with me and is here to help me.
