1 TIMOTHY 2:1-2 1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; 2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
It is the duty of believers to pray for their authorities.
If you have the honor of choosing your country's leaders, you should take that responsibility sincerely, do your research, and cast your ballot in accordance with what the Lord instructs you to do.
Don't cast your vote based on self-interest or be influenced by the sentimental strategies used in election races.
Vote in accordance with how you feel the Almighty would have you.
Vote for godly people to rule.
However, don't just vote.
Pray for public servants, particularly those in positions of authority whose actions have a significant impact on the lives of many people.
PROVERBS 29:2 When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.
SAY THIS: Father, I ask for your blessing for the godly leaders in our nation.
