God loved the world's inhabitants, including you, so much that He decided to accept the punishment that justice requires for your sins in order to share life with you.
While we should be thankful for God's forgiveness and compassion, we must never lose sight of how dreadful sin is.
Sin is fatal, as stated clearly in the Scriptures. All sin ultimately results in mortality.
I don't imply that sin brings about penalty (which is another problem), but rather that sin brings about loss and death.
ROMANS 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
ROMANS 5:21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.
ROMANS 6:16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
Death follows sin.
ROMANS 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Death is a very unfavorable penalty for sin.
JAMES 1:15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
When sin reaches its complete maturity, it produces death.
Evil can fool you too. It occasionally tempts by promising enjoyment for a while.
HEBREWS 11:25 Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;
However, the pain endures after the sin's instant joy has passed.
SAY THIS: People get harmed by sin! Evil is fatal
