2 PETER 3:18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.
By contrasting spiritual growth with natural growth, we can better know it. They are so similar.
We do not begin as fully developed individuals. Learning and growth require time, patience, experience.
Food in the tangible sense is needed in the natural world. The Word of God is the nourishment needed for power and development in the spiritual world.
MATTHEW 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
The Christian way of living includes spiritual development. The Bible serves as our spiritual nourishment. We should say it out loud and reflect on it in addition to reading it.
EPHESIANS 4:15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
A brand-new Christian has the same power as any Apostle does over the evil and all of his servants. Furthermore, they share a similar virtue that God has given to them.
1 PETER 2:2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
Continue to feed your soul with God's Word and put what you learn into practice. You will stumble many times while learning to walk, just like a normal kid.
But you must stand and try again. You don't need to worry as God will watch over and safeguard you just like a good parent should.
SAY THIS: God has a spiritual growth strategy for me.
