Some Truth More About Money

Published: June 16, 2024 · Reviewed: July 13, 2024

2 CORINTHIANS 9:6 But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.

PROVERBS 11:25 The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.

Truth is revealed in these words, but not all.

Therefore, we cannot disregard the remainding God's instructions and assume prosperity simply because we contribute.

But He does advise everyone who is wealthy to practice charity and to put no confidence in wealth (1 Timothy 6:17-18).

While not requiring it of everybody, Jesus instructed one individual in particular to offer free everything.

As Jesus' followers, we must be prepared to fully commit (Luke 14:33).

However, Jesus does not insist on it in order for us to join His realm.

PSALM 35:27 Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the Lord be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.

1 TIMOTHY 5:17 Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine.

2 CORINTHIANS 8:9 For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.

2 CORINTHIANS 5:15 And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.

PROVERBS 3:9-10 Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.

SAY THIS: Thank You Load for revealing to me what the Word tells about money.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, We thank You for Your wisdom and guidance. Help us to sow bountifully in love and charity, knowing that we shall reap bountifully in Your grace. May we honor You with our substance and the firstfruits of our increase. Teach us to put no confidence in wealth, but in Your eternal promise. Let us live not for ourselves, but for Jesus who died and rose again for us. We shout for joy and magnify Your name, for You delight in the prosperity of Your servants. Thank You, Lord, for revealing Your truth about money. In Jesus' name, Amen.
