1 TIMOTHY 2:1-2 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
It is not a pointless custom to pray for our leaders. God would not teach us to do something in His Scripture only if it would have a positive impact.
When bad things occur, people occasionally wonder why God permitted them to occur. However, we should be examining how we contributed to them by disobeying God and forgoing prayer.
If Christians are praying as they should, many evil acts and challenging circumstances should be avoided.
We must do it because God commanded us to pray for our leaders.
SAY THIS: Father, I ask that you grant our leaders insight, understanding, and wisdom into every situation we find ourselves in as well as the courage to act morally.
