The Distinction Between The Devil And Jesus

Published: June 20, 2024 · Reviewed: July 25, 2024

John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

The Lord Jesus Christ and the devil are in sharp opposition.

Jesus stands by you. He cares about you and wants what's best for you.

He cherishes you more than He cherishes Himself. By sacrificing in your stead, he illustrated it.

The enemy of Jesus is the devil. The devil is working against you and will stop at nothing to rob you, kill you, and ruin all that is good. The devil is selfish and only thinks about himself, not you or anyone else.

Do you believe in the devil? To be the demon, yes. You can count on him to always be lying and attempting to cheat you.

Because God and His Word are your only source of support and protection from the devil's tactics—which include stealing, murdering, and destroying—this deception's primary goal is to tempt you away from them.

Do you believe in Jesus? The answer ought to be clear-cut.

Anyone who loves you enough to sacrifice their life for you and endure pain so that you won't be forced to is trustworthy. Jesus pledged never to leave you.

Jesus Christ needs to be welcomed into your life on a daily basis. He desires to assist you, but He won't demand that you accept it. If you don't, the devil might intrude and wreck havoc in those parts of your existence.

SAY THIS: The devil is a terrible devil and God is a good God.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, We acknowledge the battle between good and evil, between Your love and the devil's deceit. We thank You for sending Jesus, who offers us abundant life, love, and protection. We rebuke the devil's attempts to steal, kill, and destroy. We invite Jesus into our lives daily, trusting in His sacrifice and His promise never to leave us. Help us to resist the devil's temptations and to cling to Your Word for support and protection. We proclaim that You are a good God and the devil is a defeated foe. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
