1 PETER 5:6-7 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

An anxious person is proud because their behavior demonstrates that they believe they are superior to and more sympathetic than God.
We believe we are capable of managing things without the help of God because of our pride. Jesus claimed that without Him, we are powerless to accomplish anything, let alone anything worthwhile. (We can definitely make mistakes on our own.)
