1 PETER 2:2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
Feed on God's Word as an infant would want to be fed if you want to develop as a Christian. Infants need to be fed regularly if you understand something about them!
You need more than just a brief study of the Bible. To have the "milk" out of the Word, you must digest it. This simply implies that in order to fully benefit from God's Word, you must reflect on it.
If food is not correctly digested and absorbed into our cells, it cannot nurture our physical bodies. Food for the mind is the same.
It is possible to read the Bible and not to trust it, personalize, and internalize it. Your soul will not be nourished by this kind of spiritual study.
What God tells about you is true. You possess what God tells you possess. You can do w hat God tells you can do. Whatever God has told about you, you must tell. You will primarily be fed and mentally develop in this manner.
MATTHEW 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
According to Matthew 4:4, both bread and God's Word provide nourishment for existence. But to appreciate life as God wanted, we require more than just physical nourishment. The spiritual nourishment found in God's Bible will improve our lives.
ROMANS 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
The Bible renews our minds and builds beliefs in us. It is essential to our mental development.
JEREMIAH 15:16 Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O Lord God of hosts. 17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
SAY THIS: I'll consume the Bible every day.
