Praying Is A Mutual Effort

Published: June 30, 2024 · Reviewed: August 24, 2024

ISAIAH 40:31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Time is valuable. Our days are packed. Existence is hectic.

Many of us believe that we are too busy to make time for daily prayer. But is that a sensible decision?

The literal translation of the phrase in the Scripture passage above is "those who look to the Lord expectantly will exchange strength."

Strength is exchanged during prayer.

God offers to trade us His possessions for ours. This exchange happens as we take time seeking Him.

What power does God possess?

Wisdom, comprehension, insight, direction, favor, influence, and prosperity. All that we want!

God rewards you for giving Him your time by returning it to you. In order for you to walk in success, he leads you and makes the path easy for you.

It's a great deal to trade your meager strength for God's resources!

Don't overlook this fantastic advantage!

SAY THIS: I will spend time in prayer, looking to the Lord with expectation.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, we come before You, acknowledging our need for Your strength. We humbly wait upon You, Lord, knowing that in our weakness, Your strength is made perfect. Grant us wisdom, comprehension, and insight as we seek You in prayer. We exchange our limited strength for Your boundless resources. Guide us, Lord, and make our paths easy. Help us to always look to You with expectation, knowing that You reward our time spent in Your presence. We commit to making prayer a priority in our lives. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
