JAMES 1:2-4 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
Why is every plea not responded immediately? Why do we usually fail to receive the blessings that the Bible promises instantly?
If all outcomes were immediate, we could never have faith. We could never satisfy God without faith.
The motivation to do the right thing and abstain from wrongdoing would only be self-serving if you always received the benefits of your actions right away. It wouldn't be necessary to have trust or love for God.
We have the chance to show whether we truly love and believe God or not during delays.
A delay is an experiment. There might not be a reward without trying.
God doesn't put us to the challenge so we can lose, but so we can succeed. He has faith that He will enable us to succeed.
We want success to show up right away. God wants us to cling to Him and His Word and move forward in faith until we experience triumph.
Resistance and conflict are necessary for victory. God can't protect us from troubles all the time without robbing us of the opportunity to triumph.
It feels good to win. The difficulty is what makes it nice.
Time is not an issue if we truly believe in God. Put that in God's hands.
He is trustworthy and has flawless timing. It is sufficient to know that He made his promises and will never break them.
SAY THIS: I will hold fast to my faith, and the Bible promises that I will ultimately not miss anything.
