PROVERBS 16:2 All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but the Lord weigheth the spirits.
God cares about motives.
God is not only interested in WHAT we do, but also in WHY we do it.
Why do you behave in this way?
Does it serve to support others? F or God's sake? Or do you only think about yourself and your needs?
It's crucial to ask ourselves these questions.
" If we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged", First Corinthians 11:31 says.
We must be cautious when intending to judge others, though, w e don't know what drives them.
PROVERBS 21:2 Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the Lord pondereth the hearts.
We usually defend ourselves while severely judging others.
We can evaluate ourselves based on our intentions, but we can only assess others based on their behaviors.
Therefore, we must take great caution when passing condemning judgment on others.
1 CORINTHIANS 4:5 Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.
We lack the necessary knowledge to judge others because we are unaware of their beliefs, motivations, and purposes.
God kowns everything.
SAY THIS: Lord, please grant me awareness of my motivations.
