LUKE 16:11 If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?
Money cannot purchase long-lasting pleasure and satisfaction. All wealthy people would be content if wealth brought pleasure, but this is not the case.
You will never be loved back by money. Money is just a tool used in the world.
LUKE 12:15 And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.
LUKE 16:13 No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
You can have wealth and worship God. However, it is impossible to have two leaders at once. You are only truly under the authority of one.
1 TIMOTHY 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
As a result, you can tell where your spirit is by looking at how you spend your money.
1 TIMOTHY 6:17 Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;
2 CORINTHIANS 9:11 Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God.
