JOHN 13:34-35 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
Genuine followers of Jesus distinguish from pretenders. They demonstrate divine love. They walk in divine love, which is something that "mere men" cannot do.
1 CORINTHIANS 3:3 For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?
This verse reveals that although Christians can be carnal, or controlled by their emotions and rational minds, they can also demonstrate heavenly love.
The fact is that in order to experience God's love, we must be born again. Once we achieve this, we will be capable to love people as Jesus does. The world's population is not able to do this.
ROMANS 5:5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
Even if God's love is present in our minds, we still have the choice to let it guide our behavior and response to other people. We must seek the Lord's guidance in this and in all things.
When you would rather let yourself to be harmed than to let someone else to be injured, this divine love is clearly there.
Others should be shocked and exclaim, "That's not normal," when they witness the manifestation of this love in our lives.
In John 13:35, Jesus was referring to the fact that people who are His disciples will stand out from the throng due to the manifestation of divine love in their lives.
SAY THIS: God placed His love in me to be manifested
