MATTHEW 14:25 And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea.
MATTHEW 14:28-32 And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt? And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased.
Most individuals choose to "play it safe." They don't even want to think of going out and "walking on water," let alone expect their boat to shake.
God gives us the freedom to choose. God intends for us to walk alongside Him in the miraculous kingdom, but He gives us time to mature and prepare before then. He doesn't push us around.
It's important to note that Peter was the person who decided to walk on water. Peter was able to walk on water, however briefly. Peter maintained his faith as long as he kept his attention on Jesus, but when he turned to the circumstances, he got fearful and retreated back into the world of nature.
JAMES 5:17 Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.
Elijah was a person like us, according to the Bible, despite the fact that it is simple to believe that we could never accomplish what he did. Apparently, we are urged to consider that great things can also take place in our lives.
If you decide to remain in your small boat out of fear, God will still love you just as much. You were intended to mature into the likeness of Jesus and follow in His footprints.
Walking on water with Jesus is awesome. So don't be reluctant to explore new facets of your beliefs. Take a step of faith based on God's Word.
SAY THIS: I must decide to step outside of my safe zone and believe God for better things to happen.
