Christ Is Lord

Published: July 17, 2024 · Reviewed: October 14, 2024

ACTS 2:36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made the same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.

A lot of pastors urge Christians to "make Jesus Lord."

Although I can see what they are attempting to express, it is already too late.

Jesus IS THE LORD NOW!

Almost two thousand years ago, God made Jesus the Lord.

What we need to do is acknowledge and concur that Jesus is Lord.

ACTS 10:36 The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:)

The Bible refers to this as "confessing," which undoubtedly entails more than only mumbling a few words.

ROMANS 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Jesus Christ is the center of the World, not us.

As a result, we should submit to His Lordship rather than striving to manage our own lives.

It is truly the case that Jesus, who is the Lord of all, has not yet displayed His authority and seized control of everything that is His, but that is only a transitory status.

PHILIPPIANS 2:10-11 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Everybody will finally be aware of the reality.

Today, you have the amazing pleasure of being aware of it and taking action.

The Lord is Jesus!

SAY THIS: I acknowledge that God has appointed Jesus as Lord over my life and the entirety of creation.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge and confess that Jesus is Lord. We believe in our hearts that You raised Him from the dead, and we submit to His Lordship. We thank You for the peace that Jesus Christ brings, and we rejoice in the knowledge that every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to Your glory. Help us to live in this truth daily, surrendering our lives to the Lordship of Jesus. In His holy name, we pray. Amen.
