COLOSSIANS 1:13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
The devil is feared by many individuals.
Even though we should be mindful of and vigilant against the devil's tactics, Christians don't need to fear him.
The ability to deceive is the only real control the devil still has over a believer.
If you are unaware of the reality, the devil will exploit you.
The Scriptures must be studied, interpreted, and applied in order to learn and live the truth.
To give an example, picture yourself walking into the medical room of a person who is paralyzed from the neck down.
All they can do is speak.
They don't threaten you unless they persuade you to grab the gun from the nightstand and kill yourself.
You might find this absurd, but it happens frequently when people talk without understanding the strength of their words or that the thoughts they express are those of the devil.
HEBREWS 2:14-15 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
MARK 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
In order to drive away the demons, believers need to have control over the enemy and his followers.
However, wasted power is useless.
SAY THIS: Because of Jesus, the devil has no authority over me. I've been freed from the devil's control. Go away, devil, I'm liberated
