How is wealth dishonest? In reality, the word refers to a delusion.
Wealthy make more promises than they can keep. They make empty promises about safety, joy, and fulfillment in life.
1 TIMOTHY 6:17 Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;
Jesus taught that life was not to be measured by the richness of one's belongings. You ought to trust Him. He's aware.
LUKE 12:15 And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.
Be careful! Don't be fooled by money.
The accumulation of material wealth won't make your existence satisfying or fulfilling. It assures that. But it is unable to fulfill.
You won't be content with things for very long. Whether you will experience happiness in life depends on your internal mindset and your willingness to carry out God's will.
Why do wealthy individuals commit suicide if greater wealth is the solution?
Money can never fully buy security, it can just assure it. God, on the other hand, offers security that lasts forever.
HEBREWS 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
Though you need money the most, it can abandon you. However, God won't ever leave you.
SAY THIS: I give thanks to the Almighty for revealing to me the fraudulent nature of riches.
