PROVERBS 18:20-21 A man's belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled. Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
What you speak will control your life, according to Proverbs 18:20. Words come from your mouth.
Your life's direction and result are determined by your words. You currently possess the fruit that your tongue creates and will continue to do so.
JAMES 3:2,8 For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body. But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.
You need God's support to change your speech.
You will speak from the richness of your spirit, as Jesus said. You therefore require a fresh heart filled with the Word of God, which can then make your tongue be fully controlled.
SAY THIS: Lord, because your Word instructs that words rule my life, please help me to manage my words.
