1 TIMOTHY 1:15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.
Jesus entered the earth to save sinners—not to abandon us in our sins, but to free us from them. (The definition of saving is to deliver.)
MATTHEW 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.
Our issue is sin. We have been destroyed by sin without even realizing it. Jesus did not come to save us from God, but to rescue us from our sins.
JOHN 8:34,36 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
God's ways are right and helpful to us.
God's generosity does not "simply let us sin without suffering the consequences."
God bestows His life upon us and grants us the treasure of justice. We are able to live in light, life, and love when we yield to God's life.
Despite providing regulations against sin, the Old Covenant did not affect people's minds. The inner person experiences a new birth through the New Covenant, which transforms our ambitions. As we make the decision to live from our hearts, it makes it possible for us to walk free from the bonds of sin.
Because of our Father's mercy and patience, even when you commit a sin, you are not refused and banished from the church.
1 JOHN 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
God will always love you. He loves you at present, exactly as you are. God, however, loves you too much to let you remain as you are.
SAY THIS: Jesus can save me from the bonds of sin.
