Redemption Is A Free Gift

Published: July 30, 2024 Β· Reviewed: August 25, 2024

ROMANS 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

We use the term "salvation" to refer to being freed from the consequences and punishment of sin. Being freed from the devil's control is a part of it.

Jesus Christ bought it for us by sacrificing His own life on the cross, as our replacement.

Salvation is a free gift from God, completely by His grace, rather than anything you gain.

According to the Bible, we will receive rewards for our righteous actions. We are not, however, delivered from sin and its consequences by conducting good actions, following a set of rules, or engaging in specific rituals.

ROMANS 3:21-24 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;

Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

You cannot win salvation or God's favor. It is only available to you as a gift of love from God.

It manifests as the Lord Jesus Christ, a Divine Presence.

There is no redemption apart from a union with Jesus Christ.

ACTS 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

SAY THIS: I accept Jesus Christ as my free present, keeping me right standing with God. Thank You God

Prayer

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the gift of salvation through Your Son, Jesus Christ. We acknowledge that we are sinners, falling short of Your glory. Yet, in Your boundless love, You offer us redemption. We cannot earn this gift, nor do we deserve it, but we accept it with humble hearts. We pledge our faith in Jesus Christ, our Savior, and thank You for the promise of eternal life. May we strive to live righteously, not to earn salvation, but to honor You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
