You Have Promised Provision

Published: August 5, 2024 Β· Reviewed: September 12, 2024

1 TIMOTHY 5:8 But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.

You are a child of God now that you have accepted Jesus. God will never fail His own family. He is never going to be worse off than an atheist. You are a part of His family. Take a moment to consider this truth!

LUKE 12:22,24,27-32 22 But when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils. 24 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out. 27 And it came to pass, as he spake these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked. 28 But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it. 29 And when the people were gathered thick together, he began to say, This is an evil generation: they seek a sign; and there shall no sign be given it, but the sign of Jonas the prophet. 30 For as Jonas was a sign unto the Ninevites, so shall also the Son of man be to this generation. 31 The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with the men of this generation, and condemn them: for she came from the utmost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here. 32 The men of Nineve shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here.

Nothing is lacking in the realm of God. A kingdom is the realm under a king's control. You become a citizen of King Jesus' kingdom when you let Him to lead your life.

COLOSSIANS 1:13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:

When you accept Jesus Christ as your Savior, you are admitted into His realm and He is now in charge of your care.

MATTHEW 6:31-33 31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. 33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Your attention should be on God's will rather than concerning about your support. Having virtue and being in God's dominion are mentioned twice in this portion of scripture. (which indicates well standing with God).

Anyone who places their faith in Jesus has entered God's realm and received justice as a free gift. (Romans 3:22, 5:17). Therefore, if you are in God's realm and are well standing with Him, He has promised that He will take care of your needs.

God's assurance is not dependent on your abilities or what you earn. If you are a child of God, He will take care of you. This is God's assurance of fundamental support for you, regardless of where you are or what you are dealing with.

God will supply you with food if required, either by multiplying it or by using ravens, as He did for Elijah. (1 Kings 17:2-6).

However, if you decline to trust that God will supply for you, your skepticism will allow the devil to rob you of God's provision. Although God was trustworthy in providing for you, you might not get it.

If there is a shortage, it is due to the devil stole your supply as a result of your absence of faith. It is always God's plan for you and your family to possess more than enough.

Although your belief is fragile, God will still protect you with this essential provision, which is not the greatest blessing you could ever enjoy. God will provide for you even more adequately if you believe Him and follow His instructions.

SAY THIS: God promises to take care of me

Prayer

Heavenly Father, We thank You for Your promises of provision and protection. We acknowledge that we are part of Your family, and You are our King. Help us to seek first Your kingdom and righteousness, trusting that You will meet our needs. Strengthen our faith, Lord, and help us to resist the devil's attempts to steal our blessings. We believe in Your promise to take care of us, and we commit to following Your instructions. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
