My Faith Brings Me Joy and Peace

Published: December 11, 2024 · Reviewed: January 4, 2025

No matter what life throws at us, God is at our side, we have no fear. We believe in the goodness of God and we believe in his promises. We have joy in our hearts and peace even when there is turmoil around us.

I have faith that God has been there and will be there in the future when I need to make good decisions. When I pray first, consider all the consequences, and then follow my heart, I find that I have peace.

I once had two job interviews set up and I really needed a job! The first went well from my perspective, but you never know. I mentioned that I had an interview the following week and if they had decided that I was not a candidate, I asked that they would let me know before then.

Two days later, I got a call and wasn't there to take it, but I called back, and was offered the job. It was perfect for me and I was happy to take it. I called the other place and told them that I had accepted another position and thanked them for the opportunity to interview with them.

I felt very secure that God had answered my prayers. Two months later, one of the people I would have been working with at the other position was arrested.

I was immensely pleased that God had not only answered my prayers about the job, but had saved me from the difficulties that would have resulted if I had been offered and had taken the other position.

I have always been very thankful for directing me to a position that was to be a source of growth and protecting me from a position that would have been a nightmare. Sometimes God doesn't give us what we want for our own protection.

Prayer

Lord you are protection as well as our guide. You know what is best for us even we don't. For this we are grateful. Amen.
