A Concerned Friend's Prayer for a Struggling Peer
I have a dear friend who used to be so involved in our youth group, but lately, I can see she is struggling with her faith. She has been open about feeling lost and disconnected, and I am worried that she may be turning away from God entirely. It pains me to see her this way because I know how passionate she once was about her relationship with Christ. I’ve tried to talk to her, but she seems hesitant to open up fully. I want to be a source of support for her and pray that she finds her way back to God. I’m asking for prayers that she will feel God’s love and guidance in her life and that I can be the friend she needs during this time.

Dear Lena, it is commendable that you care so deeply for your friend's spiritual well-being. Being a source of light and support for someone who is struggling is a beautiful reflection of Christ's love. In Galatians 6:2, we are instructed to bear one another’s burdens, and your desire to uplift your friend aligns perfectly with this call. Remember that while you can provide support, it is ultimately God who can transform hearts and provide salvation (Romans 3:23).
Continue to be there for her, praying fervently that the Holy Spirit will work in her heart. Share your experiences and struggles too; sometimes vulnerability can pave the way for deeper connections. Encourage her to seek God's Word and remind her of the unchanging nature of God's love and grace (Ephesians 2:8). Your friendship can be pivotal in her return to faith.
Let's pray: "Lord, I ask that You work in Lena's friend’s heart, drawing her back into Your embrace. May she feel Your love surrounding her and the support of her friends. Amen."
