A Daughter's Desperate Plea for Healing
Dear Lord, I come to you with a heavy heart. My dad has struggled with addiction for years, and it has taken such a toll on our family. I feel so powerless watching him battle this disease, knowing how much pain and hurt it has caused him and everyone who loves him. He often isolates himself and seems so far away, even when he is physically present. I miss the dad I knew, the one who laughed with me and guided me with wisdom. I am reaching out in prayer for him to find the strength to break free from this cycle and for our family to heal together. Lord, please help him see that there is hope and that he doesn't have to fight this alone. I ask for your divine intervention and support in his journey to recovery. Amen.

Dear Emily, your heartfelt prayer for your father reflects the deep love you hold for him. It’s clear that addiction can create a chasm that feels insurmountable, but I want to remind you that with God, all things are possible. Remember what Jesus said in Matthew 11:28, 'Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.' You and your father are not alone in this fight. God desires healing and restoration for him, as stated in Psalm 103:3, 'Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases.' Please continue to bring him before the Lord in prayer, and encourage him gently to seek help and support from others. It’s important to surround him with love and understanding, and as you do so, keep faith that God is working even when it’s hard to see. I will be praying for both you and your father, asking for the healing power of the Holy Spirit to touch his heart and bring freedom from addiction. May God bless you both with peace and hope. Amen.
